St. Patrick's Parade

On the 8th, we went to a local St. Patrick's Parade.  It was chilly but not too bad.  The kids had a great time.

 Then we went roller skating in the afternoon which looked a little something like this but with lots more people rolling around us, oh and Caden had real clothes on.  These pics were taken yesterday when he had a dress down pajama day at school.  I'm sure Jason and I are going to be sore tomorrow!

 

 His guitar cake...with his pajamas back on.  He asked if he could take a bath (instead of a shower) on his birthday...how could I say no?

Basketball!

 Caden's having a great time playing basketball.  It's been going on for a few weeks now.  He's scored one basket during a game so far.  He loves it when his "fans" come, meaning us, and Nana and Papa.  Mammy and Aunt Erin were at this game too in the middle of February.

Snow Days

 Abigail waited all season to get packing snow to make a snowman.  Finally at the last big storm, we got what she was looking for...and plenty of it!

 She kept calling this pile of snow her "castle".

 Abby sat herself down on the wall between our house and the neighbor's and said, "Humpy Dumpy sat on a wall.  Humpy Dumpy had a great fall.  All king horses all king men, couldn't put Humpy together again."

I got to be her "assistant builder" today.  That means that I had the honor of handing her the tools she needed.

Pizzelles!

The kids were a great help with making pizzelles.  Abby got a little bored with it...it does take quite some time.  Caden had the important job of setting the timer, so he stuck it out with me. (He's also showing off his 2nd missing tooth!)

Names

 This was Abigail's attempt at writing her name.  This picture was taken at the beginning of January...she's come a long way since then.
