Abby & Bunny in a Box

Favorite Part

Each evening during dinner I ask everyone how their day was and what was their favorite part.  Lately Abigail has been saying that her favorite part is when Caden gets home from school.  Caden's favorite part is sitting down and eating dinner with his family.  I'm not sure if they say these things to make me smile or if they really truly mean it...maybe a little bit of both.

Goofy Glasses

(we think Abby has her jacket on here because GG put her sweater on)

My family came to visit on November 3rd to celebrate my birthday.  My mom's neighbor had a treat bag for the kids, and these glasses were included.  We got a good laugh out of these.

Kids Building Worshops

We signed Caden up for his first Home Depot and Lowe's Kid Workshops.  They are totally free for kids ages 5-12ish.  Home Depot doesn't mind younger kids, but Lowe's you have to register online, and I think they do want kids just 5 and up.  I'm planning on taking Abigail to Home Depot next time.  I highly recommend these workshops!

He got this apron, a pin with a picture of the wooden craft, a certificate, and of course the craft.  They also had 3 other little crafts to do, so we were there for about an hour.

This was the Lowe's craft, which is a pull-back race car.  They also gave the kids an apron, an iron on patch, a certificate, and the craft.

Abigail's Preschool Halloween Party

Since Halloween was nothing but rain, Abigail's preschool had to have an indoor sing along.  Caden's first year, they had a little parade around the school and then sat in the back of the school and sang.  Either way, it was still really cute!  Abigail sang along to every song; I was so proud.
 Abigail and her buddy, Ethan

"There's Mommy!"

"Why are you yawning?"
"Are you paying attention back there?"
This is a little inside joke that made Abigail smile.  Abigail's coat is of course the pink Princess coat.  At the beginning of the year, she refused to take her coat off and hang it up with the others...one of those "who knows what she's thinking moments".  So, I was taking it off before she walked into the classroom.  One day I forgot to take it off, she let them take it off and hang it up, and that was the end of that.

Acrostic Poem

Caden wrote his first acrostic poem last month to the word "Ghost":

Ghouls
haunted house
of ton
stormy
t

The "of ton" means "a ton of candy" :)
