Caden's 5th Birthday was a very fun and busy day. It began as usual, with balloons in his bedroom.
(Notice the railing still attached to his bed...well...yesterday he decided that since he was 5, he no longer needed "the fence". He made it through the night without falling out. He was very proud this morning!)
After a yummy breakfast of french toast, he opened one gift - a small LEGO creator set. Then we were on our way to Dukin Donuts for donut holes to take to preschool only to discover that it was closed for renovations! Luckily there's a grocery store right next to it, so we ran in quickly to get little cupcakes.
After I dropped him off at school, I decorated the cake that I baked the night before. I now know this apron does nothing for me!
I trusted Jason to do the outlining.
The final product...sorry it's on its side!
More gifts!
Abigail liked the clothes he got.
After lunch (hot dogs - another Caden favorite), we went bowling (Jason took the day off of school). It was Abigail's first time. Caden helped her out a lot.
She loved the air that came out of the ball return thingy.
Abigail wasn't the only one!
Hugging her probably very dirty pink ball.
After pizza at the coffee table, Nana and Papa came over to visit. He was pretty excited to show them the cake. Cake is always his favorite part of his birthday.
