Teacher Caden

The other day Caden decided to try to teach Abigail some words using flash cards.  He did a great job!  Abigail sat nicely for him and repeated every word.

Good Parents?

Maybe this is a sign that they will both be good parents some day?

Happy Thanksgiving

This was our Thanksgiving feast that the kids set up/made (I think the picture was actually taken on Veteran's Day).
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Outdoor Fun

 "Abby to the rescue!"
I'm not sure what she's rescuing with sunglasses, a cape, two different knee pads, a drill, and a screwdriver...but she's ready for whatever comes her way!

 I just love this picture!

Mommy's Birthday Cake

Ever since my birthday (over a month ago), the kids have been making me a "birthday cake" just like the one pictured above.  The ingredients consist of basically whatever they can get their hands on that will make a nice big pile in the middle of the coffee table.  The best part is when Abigail comes up to me and whispers, "Mommy's birthday cake" like it's a surprise.  Needless to say, it takes awhile to "eat" and clean up this cake, so this was the last of its kind.  I do enjoy them singing to me though!

Halloween

Our Halloween seemed to last 2 weeks this year.  It started on the 18th with a party with the Family Center, then continued to a party at the library, a visit to Jason's school, and finally Halloween night. The kids had a great time at everything.

Our chicken and our Thomas the Tank Engine

Nana was able to join us for the visit to the library.

 Brayden and his Daddy

They had a lot of fun games.  It was all so organized.
This was the only time Caden would wear the egg costume he helped make.  We really wanted a chicken and an egg...but...Caden had different thoughts.  At least he wore it to Daddy's school so Daddy could be a paradox.  This will be our last visit to Daddy's school on Halloween :(
It was great to be out with all our neighborhood friends.

Beyer Family Visit

On Oct. 25th, a friend of mine from Bloom, Kristen, came to visit with her two great kids, Trafton and Quay.  You may remember that Trafton (who is just 6 weeks younger than Abigail) came to visit us almost 2 years ago when Trafton and Abigail were just babies.  To see those fun pictures, click HERE.  Luckily it was a beautiful day and we were able to play outside a little.

The kids were all ready for visitors.  Abigail tested out the baby play mat.

She is actually happy in this picture and squealing too.  This girl has an amazing set of lungs!
 Quay and her mommy
The kids welcomed Quay right away.  Abgail even shared her Funny Bunny...that was a bit of a shocker!
I was able to get Trafton to pause for a quick pic.

Is Abigail having fun?  It's hard to tell.
Abigail had a bit of trouble sharing.

We tried to get a picture of all of us, but Caden and Trafton were too busy drawing on the driveway.

Poor, Poor, Abigail

In Daddy's Clothes?

Jason had this shirt just laying around, so Caden decided to put it on.  Then he disappeared all of a sudden and came down with Daddy's pants on too.  I don't know how he made it down the stairs without falling!

Abigail's First Tip to the Dentist

Abigail had her first dentist appointment on Oct. 18th along with Caden and myself.  At one point I was laying back getting my teeth cleaned with two kids sitting on top of me watching the TV.  Thank goodness for a TV at the dentist's office!  Anyhow...Abigail was a little stubborn at the beginning (shocker), but then she let them look at her teeth.  She has a really thick muscle I believe they called it (that "thing" that connects your upper lip to your upper gums) that is causing the gap in her front teeth but it is nothing to worry about right now.  Both Abigail and Caden had fun playing with the floss on the way home.  I guess it tasted good??
